My topic is water                                                                                                                                           P(Part)=                                                                                                                                                             Water is life and it plays a very important role in the life of people and animals.                       I will discuss on a few of the importance of water to man.                                                           Water is at the center of life. This is why nobody can live more than 3 to 5 days without any water intake. A healthy sedentary adult living in a temperate climate should drink 1.5 litres of water per day. This threshold of drinking water enables to balance water losses and keep one’s body properly hydrated. Water is a major constituent of our bodies and vital organs and it is of major importance to all living things; in some organisms, up to 90% of their body weight comes from water. Up to 60% of the human adult body is water. The brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%. Water is the major component of most body parts. It is needed by the brain to manufacture hormones and neurotransmitters, regulates body temperature (sweating and respiration), acts as a shock absorber for brain and spinal cord, converts food to components needed for survival-digestion, helps deliver oxygen all over the body, forms saliva (digestion), keeps mucousal membranes moist, allows body’s cells to grow, reproduce and survive, flushes body waste (mainly in urine) and lubricates joints.
