If so, don’t be disheartened, because somewhere, in those mind-eating video games, there are surely some hidden educational secrets. Video games are widely known as an excellent source of entertainment – and only this. But, according to some, they can be of great help as an educational tool because of their interactivity. We have to put aside our image of video gamers as jobless nerds living in their parents’ basements, playing Warcraft till 3 in the morning in robe and slippers, surrounded by their beloved Star Wars action figures collection. Because it looks as though playing video games can help you develop key skills and, in fact, support brain function. There are several genres of video games, for example RPGs, role-playing games or puzzles and logic. When the right types of games are played, you will be surprised how much knowledge and educational value can be gained!
Firstly, studies show that video games can help train and develop a student’s mind. This is because, If you think about it, even simple kids’ games involve a little bit of thinking – figuring out how to do things in a better or different way or how to come up with a solution that will make you the winner.
