Mr. Stonefield is opening his own business called Landslide Limousine Service in Austin, Texas. The primary goal of Landslide Limousines Company is to have strong performance levels based on excellent customer service, enthusiasm, and professionalism. An organization must implement specific training programs for employees to retain the knowledge and become successful employees. Successful training programs often require organizations to accomplish a few things by having employees partake in training regiments. Continual training and development of employees to a high-level is an integral part of an organization reaching for and achieving its goals. The goal is to achieve the every task that the organization requires as well as improve efficiency and productivity. The training process of a new employee is a requirement of his or her orientation. The employee will need to understand the roles and responsibilities of his or her job. An organization must come to a conclusion on how detailed the training program will be, the overall objectives of the program, and how the program will be displayed.
Before the training process begins, Landslide will need to develop a needs assessment. The purpose of needs assessment is to determine if training is necessary (Casico, 2012). There are different levels of analysis that determines the needs of training; Organizational, Environmental, Demographical, Operational, and Individual. All levels are important to Landslide Limousine because it will set the foundation of the business to be successful.
Organization analysis focuses on identifying whether training supports the company’s strategic direction; whether managers, peers, and employees support training activity; and what training resources are available (Cascio 2012).
