Being the fifth semester’s student majoring in English Literature department of Putera Batam University, it is said to be an obligation or a must to complete the personal assignment regarding the analysis of semantic theory which is the final paper of the fifth semester in the Semantics subject.
As today we are going to add more knowledge about one of the components in linguistics (Semantics) there is no doubt that we have to get familiar with what language is before the explanation about linguistics itself is done. The best reason behind the theory of language comes first is because this linguistics component which is Semantics is one of the parts of Language.
Right here, the writer are able to acquire a definition of language from the internet-based source which is from Wikipedia.com that states, “Language may refer to the specifically human capacity for acquiring and using complex systems of communication, or to a specific instance in such a system of complex communication.” To put it simple, the writer gets what Wikipedia.com means as in the statement which stresses out the language as a system of communication.
