Terry Fox was born in Canada in July 28, 1981. Some things were evindent about Terry. For Instance, He loved the sports, he was not tall,he was extremely competitive and he had a huge amount of determination,he had been playing basketball in the hight school and wanted to play guard on the Mary Hill Cobras Team. He was only 5 feet tall a the time and mediocre at the game . On November 12, 1976 Fox had a car accident, he crashed with a truck but Fox came out of the accident with a sore right knee. he had changes in his life since 1977 because he was diagnosed with osteosarcome. but three years after losing his leg at age 18, Fox decided to run all Canada to raise money for cancer research. He started the marathon of hope on April 12, 1980 and he had been runing 42 km a day, no one had ever done anything similar to the task Fox was undertaking. Fox had been hardworking in the marathon but he was unable to finish his run because the cancer had metastasized to his lungs and by the time he was forced to stop the run on september 1, 1980 he had run 5,373km. after Fox was forced to stop, the CTV Television network organized a telethon to raise additional funs for the same couse of Fox. and the event raised million of dollars.
In June 1981, Terry had pneumonia, and on june 27 he went into coma. he died in june 28 at 4:37 a.m..   this hour was his favorite hour of running, a year after his legendary run, and exactly one month shy of his twenty-third birthday
