I have read a book called Sophie and the Rising Sun by Augusto Trobaugh reason for reading this book I had to read it for a book report for my English class after reading this book it stuck in my head because it was a love novel and I enjoyed it. The story was take place in Salty Creek in Georgia town where everyone knows everyone else’s strangers rarely enter the community.
There was this stranger by the name of Mr. Oto a Japanese man who came to Salty Creek to live and work. Mr. Oto meets Sophie soon after he arrives and immediately falls in love with her. Sophie having lost her true love during World War I spent her youth caring for her mother and maiden aunts. Now that they were gone, she has resigned herself to a lonely, passionless existence that all begins to change as she finds herself drown to Mr. Oto.
When the Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor, Mr. Oto newfound life comes under siege and Sophie must decide how much she is willing to risk for a future with the man who has brought such joy into her life so they decided to run away together.
I am not a great reader maybe it’s because I don’t like to read . I only read if I have and if it interesting to read. I think if I read at least twice a day it could help me be a better reader and I might like reader.
