Fulbright in Afghanistan:
Afghanistan has been able to benefit from the Fulbright Scholarships, in between 1952-1979. More than 250 Afghan students received Fulbright Scholarships at that time. However, the Fulbright Scholarships program did not operated during the soviet invasion and the civil war in Afghanistan. The program again started in 2003 for Afghan students in Afghanistan after 24 years of setback. Thereafter, every year the Fulbright Scholarships program application deadlines are announced in Afghanistan and students from different universities apply for the program. Programs like Fulbright Scholarships are more needed in Afghanistan. As Afghans lack the concept of mutual understanding around the nations it will build the concept of mutual understanding of Afghans with other nations by providing them the Fulbright scholarship.
