This movie is 20 years old film and I really like it. Vivian is a prostitute and Edward is a rich man. Edward worked in Hollywood on some big business. One day he got lost and met Vivian, who helped him to find his hotel. They made a deal. Vivian will be his companion for public. By and by she started to love him, because whole life she dreamt of a prince with white horse. But eventually she left him and started new life. That day when she moved back to her family, Edward stopped her and told her, that he loves her.
The movie has a happy end and is it romantic, but I think that people love it for star cast. Julia Roberts (Vivian) is one of the best actors of Hollywood and Richard Gere (Edward) as well. I really liked the change of Vivian, I mean the clothes. And you can see there the attitude to people whose look poor and to people whose look rich and nice. Also there is pictured how people (especially men) think that prostitute is some stuff and they can do whatever they want with her. It could appear this film is for women, but a lot of men have seen it too.
Richard Gere plays the piano in the movie and the melody is his own.
In the scene, where Vivian is lying on the floor in front of TV and laughs hysterically
producer was tickling her on her leg, which wasn’t in the shot.
The movie primarily should finish without the happy end and Vivian should’ve used money for the trip to Disneyland.
From my point of view is pretty woman not growing old “romantic fairy tale”.
