"Perspectives on Slavery"
The value of historical diary entries are very important in connecting to the past. To understand what they went through such as what they ate, what were their thoughts, and how they lived. All those little things can bring us closer on what actually happened on those dates or the year. With these diaries we can learn from their actions, decisions, and prevent from happening again. In the diary of raul slave says that she entered her fifteenth year of age. the master was whispering foul language in her ear . what for,I believe that the master was using her in his home and i'm sure this wasn't his first time either having slaves as workers he can easily get any slave. In her diary from harriet jacob she quotes that “he was my master. The masters diary sets events on three days. i believe that there were no impact on slavery, the plantation owner was not really doing anything with those days seemed fine to me . In the diary he quotes that “I rose at 4 o'clock and read two chapters in Hebrew and some Greek in Cassius. I said my prayers and ate milk for breakfast. I danced my dance”. He did this every day, in the diary of william byrd II. I support my position because these to slaves mentioned in the dairy jenny and Eugen that were whipped. quotes that Eugene was whipped again for pissing in bed and Jenny for concealing it.
The last dairy for this article is from a abolitionist that recorded days in which people came to her and confronted her of their problems. one story she mentioned is Charlotte,...
