Personal Dilemma Paper

In this paper, I will be discussing a ethical dilemma that I have faced recently in my
professional life. Many people have come across a dilemma in the workplace that can be sometimes
disturbing to the individual and sometimes to the environment of the work place as well. This can
effect the people that are in the work environment around you in many ways. We have to sometimes
place the importance of why we are here and come to a conclusion on how we can resolve the dilemma
that have occurred. I will be analyzing the nature of the dilemma that have occurred professionally in
my life. I will also discuss the alternative courses of the action that I have meditated on and the
decision that I have decided on. I will also give reasons to the the decision that I have decided on and
the outcome of the situation.
I am currently employed at a very popular hospital that deal with all types of people from
incarcerated individuals to mentally ill individuals. I work as a Clerical Associates in the finance
department of Bellevue Hospital Center. My department is responsible doing the billing for workers
compensation and no-fault claims. In my department we have four individuals that help with the
billing and sometime it can be a little overwhelming. The workload is divided and we are responsible
for assigned insurance companies. I would think by having this type of responsibility, individuals
would have strong work ethics. I was very wrong of this conclusion. One of my co-works, whose
name is Herve seem to work as a loner and tends to do some of my cases without consulting with me.
When the case is giving to me by my manager and I start to prep the necessary paper work for the case
I see that he has already done the case. This tends to burst my bubble and when...
