Columbia Southern University
From the time I was 12 years old I had my entire life planned out. Typical little girl most people would say, but for the most part I followed my goals to the core. I played basketball, ran track, and also maintained a 3.0 GPA. I have always wanted to be a dentist and also had thing for fashion. So as a little girl I always said I was going to stay focused in school and go to college and go play basketball overseas to play basketball. I had all these plans made out and as I said I followed everything from goal to goal. When I graduated from high school I went to college and also filed out an application to go overseas to play basketball. I was a year and a half into my college career and deal with agents to go play ball overseas and I became really sick and found out I was pregnant. I felt like my entire life was over I guess you could say it was a bittersweet moment for me. The reason I say bittersweet is because I have always wanted to have children just not as soon as I did and the bitter part is I knew a lot of things I had planned wouldn’t happen or would be put on hold. I can honestly say that moment changed my entire life forever. At that point I knew a lot of things had to change, I had to get a job and save up for everything he was going to want or need. Nothing in my life was the same at that point and everything was defiantly put on hold but was well worth it. My son is the best thing that ever happened to me none the less I have experienced life at a new angle. I had to grow up really fast because I was a party animal and was not ready to give up on that life yet, but when I realize I had to put someone before me now and I look at him it is worth it. I am 23 years old now and my son Hezekiah is 3 and I am now getting back into the things I had on hold. I plan to go overseas in march of 2014 I am now back in school as well as you can see I am running my own fashion consulting...
