James Johnson passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 73 on Saturday, September 2059. He was a loving father of two sons, one daughter. He also left behind his loving wife of 40 years. James was a retired Firefighter/Engineer for Fire Department. He served over 30 years to the city and would always say that it was the best job in the world. He was also a Registered Occupational Therapist for 32 years. He owned his own practice in Beverly Hills, California, which has served that community for over 13 years. James was always described as a gentleman and caring friend. He was known for his energy and compassion for his work. He earned his B.A. in Microbiology, and his Master’s in Occupational Therapy at USC. He was an active member of the Alumni Association for both schools, and has donated thousands of dollars to his hometown church. James was always a very competitive sports guy, who enjoyed playing basketball with his friends whenever he had the chance. He participated in organized league basketball since he was 18, but finally stopped at the age of 46. He was also an avid golfer, and continued to golf through his 60’s. He had a wall in his Irvine home that was dedicated to all the golf courses around the world that he has played on. He has been everywhere from South Africa to London, and was a regular at charity golf tournaments. He always spoke of how he wanted to travel the world and he definitely kept his word. After retiring at the age of 60, he traveled to a different country every month. He was also very mechanically inclined and always refused to take his car to a mechanic. He did all his own maintenance, even through his 70’s. His pride and joy was a 1986 E30 M3 with custom pearl white paint and a implanted E60 M5 motor. James lived a very fulfilling life and in his will he prayed that his children and wife would continue to live their life and fulfill their dreams.
