In the Republican primaries that have been taking place for the last few months, there
are a few things that I have noticed while watching them. One it’s good television, watching
the candidates ’during the debate, there seems to be a very hostile environment in each debate.
Why are the candidates playing up to the cameras and the folks at home. Have the
debates become more or less like watching a sports contest? Like in football, when a person
scores a touchdown, he gets to dance and point fingers into the crowds, have the Republican
presidential primaries become Monday Night Football ?
Newt Gingrich, have been the satire of political cartoons for more than 20 years.
It seems to never end. In this cartoon illustration, it shows Newt Gingrich as a ticking time
bomb waiting to explode. This has become the standard now. Watching political candidates
being mock and laugh at has become a cartoonist greatest satire. Watching this grumpy old man's
face can tell how a person can have his or hers own view of political candidates. and how they
can persuade political opinions.
While watching republican candidate Mitt Romney on stage trying to defend his record
against the likes of Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, and also Rick Santorum, it has come to a
level, as who can knock the other opponent off stage. and become the star of
the stage, but with mindful thought, who would better match up with President Obama. Who
would be the better person to be on stage against Obama. well in television terms, that would
get better ratings for the networks.
After watching the last debate, I think the network would love to have an Obama against
Gingrich debate, but that might not happen; first and foremost Gingrich will have to win
the Republican primary for president, and with Mitt Romney the leading...
