The Bharat Group is a diversified global business with roots in Malaysia. It produces some of the world’s favorite tea labels. Initially a supplier of tea leaves to leading Malaysian and international brands, today the company is growing its retail presence with popular brands like Cameron Valley (bharattea.com). Rich in tradition and big in ambition, the company is driven with innovation. With Bharat Tea's new special product which is healthy tea, Bharat Tea is planning to penetrate more into Malaysia market and competing aggressively this time against renowned tea brands such as Lipton Tea and Boh Tea. Bharat Tea wants to be recognized as the number one tea expert provider in Malaysia.
According to (euromonitor.com), the tea market is one of the developing market trends. A number of new tea products were launched in Malaysia over the second half of the review period to satisfy increasingly sophisticated demand from consumers. Tea drinking culture has a long established history in Malaysia with strong demand coming from its multiracial community of Malay, Chinese and Indian people. The prospect for tea market is also very assuring. Tea is also expected to increase further in popularity as an after-meal drink due to the functional benefits of some products, for example assisting in digestion, and the high level of antioxidants, in particular in green tea.
