It seems that it is always on the news or in magazines about troubled child actors who started their careers at a young age. One actress that has had struggles is Lindsey Lohan. She was born in New York, New York in 1986. She started out doing modeling at age three. Her first starring role in acting was at age 12 in the Disney movie remake of the parent trap. She is also known for her movie Freaky Friday, which is also a remake of the one that stared Jody Foster in the 70’s.
Spiraling downward in 2007, Lindsey had two DUI’s and three rehab stays for alcohol. This caused her to lose several movie deals. She did turn around though in 2008 staring in the television series called Ugly Betty. These stints have lead to a great deal of publicity in her personal life. As her celebrity status grew, so did Lohan's attendance at New York nightclubs. Her wild party lifestyle made Lohan an instant news flash in recent years, from her father's prison scandals to rumors of her own struggles with bulimia.
I think being a child actress put so much stress on her she couldn’t take it anymore. She has had many run ins with getting in trouble with drugs and alcohol. She crashed her car into a tree on May 2007, then again in July of the same year she was caught with her mom which was also her personal assistant racing her car after a woman who sued her for assault and neglect.
Dodging the felony charges with the judge sentencing her to 90 days of jail time. In jail, she was denied special treatment. I think that was a good idea because it shows that just because she is famous, it does not mean she should have special privileges and should be treated like every other person that gets in trouble. I think a lot of famous people, if not all of them think just because they have money and are in the limelight that they deserve to be treated like kings and queens.
