KELLY CLARKSON

I am Kelly Brianne Clarkson (born April 24, 1982), an American singer-songwriter, actress, and philanthropist. In 2002, I became famous after winning the first season of American Idol. Over the years I have accumulated 91 number ones on the Billboard charts and 11 international number one singles, and has sold over 25 million albums and 45 million singles worldwide. I am known for my vocal versatility and range. Apart from my work in music, I have also ventured into television and film. I won three Grammy Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, twelve Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, two American Country Awards, and a Women's World Award.

Upon graduating from high school, I was offered full scholarships to The University of Texas at Austin, University of North Texas, and Berklee College of Music but I declined. After graduation, I worked several jobs to finance a demo, recording material and trying to market it to record labels, but received little response. I turned down two recording contracts from Jive Records and...
