1.) Katate Hazushi Ichi:     A pry escape from an outside wrist grip

Your opponent (Uki) steps in and grabs your wrist with one hand.   This is an outside wrist grip (grabs your right wrist with his left hand).
Rotate your hand so that your thumb is facing medially (so that your thumb is facing the “open” part of his grab).
Step in toward your opponent with your right foot.   If your opponent originally pulls you when he grabs you, step in as you rotate your hand.
Drive your elbow toward your opponent while simultaneously rotating your wrist outside of the opponents grip (use his hand as a fulcrum, driving the elbow in and wrist out).   After the full rotation (really driving elbow in), pry arm up and over your left shoulder as you escape.
The ultimate goal is to step in, twist, and rotate around the fulcrum point in one quick fluid move.
Once free, back away in a guarded position, hands up in a defensive position.
