* Why did the shepherd woman do what she did?
The woman was very genuine and benevolent person. She was ready to help anybody who really needed it. She was very kind, understood people and empathized with them. Having lived in a village, she was away from the materialism strongly prevalent in a metro city/populated town. It was obvious that she believed in unconditional helping of others, since she did not expect anything in return from Jaikumar.
* What do you think Jai learnt from his experience?
Jai probably learnt that life is unpredictable and the circumstances around us are extremely dynamic and can change at any given point of time. Luck and Destiny are important factors that contribute to shaping one’s life as well. He learnt about why helping a person unconditionally is important in whatever way possible. He learnt an important lesson that preparation and planning may not always work, we should never stop expecting the unexpected. He learnt about the importance of dependency on the help of others, in survival or in the success of an individual. He also learnt that not all debts can be repaid in life.
* What should Jai do after he recovers?
The first thing Jai should do after he recovers is that he should go and meet the shepherd woman and express his gratitude towards her. Money is not the appropriate thing to offer as money can only be given to something that is valued but what she has done for him can be considered priceless. Also money is of no substantial importance to her. He should regularly make an effort to keep in touch with her subsequently and ensure her well being.
