The Holocaust was one of the most inhumane eras for not only the Jews but also other groups such as the Russians. In 1933 the Nazis came into power and believed threat the Germans were superior to everyone else. They also believed that the Jews were far inferior to them and were a threat to their German Community. As a result the Nazis started to persecute the Jews by burning them; they were put into gas chambers. There were over six million Jews that were murdered during the Holocaust. Toward the end of the war prisoners that were in the concentration camps were liberated, this attempt to free the prisoners continued until May 7, 1945 which was the day the Germans surrendered without a fight. The crimes that were committed during the Holocaust had a permanent effect on the Jewish population, even till today.
The Holocaust was caused by Hitler Germany needed an enemy that could be blamed for
everything bad that had happened to it after WW1 and the Jews were a perfect target.. The
Holocaust happened because Hitler wanted to get rid of the Jewish race. He also thought they
were taking all the jobs and were plotting a communist up rise. So the only way to fix this
problem was to start a system of eradication of Jews. This was the cause of the Holocaust. By
1945, the Germans and their collaborators killed nearly two out of every three European Jews as
part of the Nazi policy to murder the Jews of Europe. He hated Jewish people, gypsies,
homosexuals, disabled people and twins. He wanted to direct German aggression off the
government and used those groups of people as scapegoats, causing one of the greatest tragedies
in history. As Hitler gained control territories in other European countries, the intensity as well
as territorial spread of persecution increased. By the end of World War II Nazis had killed an
estimated six million Jews.
