What would happen if you woke up one day, and you found yourself locked up in prison, with the face of your arch enemy? Who could you call on? Who would believe that you are who you say you are? And what if the two people who did know the truth, were dead? This is exactly what happened to the main character (John Travolta) in the movie, “Face Off.
“Face Off” is a movie with many different genres including: action, drama, comedy, adventure, and thriller. It is a must see movie, that depicts each and everything that could and should be in a movie. This movie “get you on the edge of your seat” feel. It also shows how love and determination can conquer all. I found myself becoming a receptive viewer. When I first heard of the movie I thought, “Oh great, here we go again, another action movie with lots of violence”. But when I actually sat down to watch the movie, I became very interested in seeing more. I learned that we should all give movies a chance and for what it’s worth we could be missing out on an Emmy award winning show. Film analysis “allows us to reach valid conclusions on a movie’s meaning and value” When I watched this movie recently, I found myself analyzing it, from the beginning to the end. I was able to see things that I never really paid any attention to. Analyzing movies can change your whole perspective of them.
This movie is about an FBI agent named Sean Archer (John Travolta), and his archer enemy Castor Troy (Nicolas Cage). Archer has been after Troy for six years and after all of his hard work and dedication, Archer finally catches up to Troy (one of the most dangerous criminals the world has known, and also the murderer of Archer’s young son). After Six years pass Archer, an F.B.I. agent, is an empty shell. Meanwhile, the terrorist Castor Troy (Nicolas Cage) is riding high, quite literally, aboard a private jet.
