I have been working as a retail assistant at Woolworth supermarket since 2010. Woolworths has more than 3000 stores across Australia and New Zealand which span grocery, petrol, liquor, general merchandise, hotels and home improvements. It is an almighty home grown Australian business with more than 195000 employees form multicultural background. They are passionate about people and are fully committed to supporting every employee identify their potential.
The supermarket is the significant work place because of the high degree of diversity within the workforce which includes young people and old people, well experienced employees and trainees, employees with formal education and employees without any academic qualifications, employees from different cultural and ethnic groups. It is amazing to see how people within this diverse workforce collaborate successfully providing best quality service and enhancing customer focus.
