I chose to talk about scenario number 1. The two decision making process I would use to help to reduce cost is problem solving and problem seeking. Problem solving refers to a state of desire for reaching a definite goal from a present condition that either is not directly moving toward the goal, is far from it, or needs more complex logic for finding a missing description of conditions or steps toward the goal.   Problem solving is the concluding part of a larger process that also includes problem finding and problem shaping. It is important to differentiate between problem analysis and decision making. The concepts are completely separate from one another. Traditionally it is argued that problem analysis must be done first, so that the information gathered in that process may be used towards decision making.   Is to seek out areas for improvement through a process of problem seeking to clarify, understand and state the problems. A clear problem statement is the first step in the decision making process. How a problem is stated will drive the decision making process and the solution that is ultimately chosen. Making sure that everyone is not staying after their shifts or actually clocking out for lunch and breaks. Have a meeting with the employees and let them know what is going on and ask for their input on how to cut down on cost. That way the employees will feel a part of cost cut and will not be a surprise to them. When it comes to supplies making sure each employee is getting what they need and they are not taking supplies home with them. Like the saying goes “two heads are better than one" is true. Six, seven or eight heads are even better because more expertise is brought forward.
