Characters may show courage in literature since courage is a common theme. Moral, Physical, and Emotional are three types of courage. Esperanza and Martin Luther King Experience courage. That is a great thing to have.
Esperanza shows emotional courage in “I knew he was looking I had to prove to me I was not scared of nobody’s eyes, not even his.” She faces a difficult situation and just wants to prove she is not scared or afraid of anybody. “Those who don’t know any better come into our neighborhood scared…. But watch us drive onto a neighborhood of another color and our knees go shakity shake, and our windows get rolled up tight and our eyes look straight.” It’s pretty awkward to go in a neighborhood you are not familiar with, but either way you are still scared.
So basically what I’m saying is don’t let people scare you out of something or going somewhere. It’s good that you have courage so those people will know you’re not scared. Martin Luther King shows moral courage in his speech. “I have a dream that one day, down in its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words or interposition and nullification.” He’s just trying to do something right for a change. So it won’t be so racist forever.” This note was a promise that all men, yes black men as well as white men would be guaranteed the “unalienable rights” of “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” That black and white men are going to or should be getting the same rights. Should also get treated equally. It shouldn’t really matter what color you are. Everyone should get treated like human being.
Don’t let people get to you to where your scared to walk by them or ride in there neighborhood. Prove to them you’re not scared that you have plenty courage. It doesn’t matter what race you are you should get treated like the human race you...
