1.1 Information about Report
This report is requested by Mr. John Wetherell, the leader of Strategic Management module. It is going to discuss a management report for Corning. For this report research about Corning, marketing strategies of Corning, management strategies, market segmentation and future marketing strategies of the company has done. The report is due on 21st of February 2014 up to 19:00.
The purpose of this report is to analyse the strategic competitive position of Corning. It targets to find out the detailed industry analysis, consideration of markets and competitive characteristics of Corning. Aim of the report is to explain each issue with adequate information and tries to suggest some recommendations for Corning to protect its position in the market and to enlarge the company for future.
For this report largest retailer company named Corning is chosen. It is founded in1851. After that day company growth and become one of the largest glass manufacturer in the world. Innovation is a very important factor for the growth of Wal-Mart. It is such a big company that an uneffective marketing strategies may influence the whole business. This shows that strategic management plays a very important role in the development of Corning.
