People communicate for many different reasons from simple basic instinct and communication is essstial for our survival, it could simply be wanting food and drink to needing medical attention, people communicate so they can get involved with the activities and do the thing that they like doing like going to the shops for some luxuries or going out or a walk in the community. People use many different ways of communication in everyday life.
Explain how effective communication affects all aspects of working in adult social care settings
Effective communication affects all aspects of the work in the social care environment, it can effects the way the employees work as a team and it could cause errors on important paperwork if they have not been given the correct information. It is also very important that we understand the individuals communication needs so that they will be able to understand what they want or need, it also helps so that we know how they are feeling whether they are sad, anxious or happy and could prevent they from coming aggressive if they cannot tell them what is wrong. It also affects their quality of life they have, if they couldn’t communicate they wouldn’t be able to tell or express themselves about their hopes, dreams and ambitions in life, not being able to communicate mean they wouldn’t get to make their own choices or be as independent as they wanted.
