Keeping Computers in Schools
Computers are commonly used electronics in our school system today. Everyday computers are threatened to be taken away in our school system. While school book stores, libraries, and snack bars, stay strong in our school system, along with unhealthy food. The alternative plan however, to keeping computers in our school system is truly of importance and is a necessity. Keeping computers in our schools will enhance student life so much more by improving academic opportunity, allowing more time for experimentation and exploration, and adding to the existing technology at our local schools.
Academics are truly the reason students attend School. During the course of almost every class, a student will most likely have to use a computer to type a paper, make a graph, or perform research on the web. Taking away computers in the computer lab would not benefit the students' lives greatly, because those who do not have access to the internet or computers would not be able to use them without possibly using a friends are relatives computer. This situation could cause an overwhelming frustration to a student.
Not having computers in schools would have an effect on Education tremendously. Computers lend a hand out to students in a lot of today's projects and essays. For instance if a student were to do an essay on the planet Saturn, they could look in an electronic encyclopedia on the computer or they could look up their topic on the internet. They could also type their essays and reports on what's called a word program. The program allows for a student to type anything out from a school essay to business papers. It allows a student to make his are her paper to look very neat by adding images and neat looking text to impress there teacher.
